I would like to share with you my knowledge of the Benefits of Daily Natural Skin Care — So that you will Feel Like a Natural Beauty!
If you’re like me, you love being out in the sun and the outdoors. Over the years, outdoor activities take their toll on your skin. Face, neck and hands especially can become extremely dehydrated from the sun and the wind and tend to look aged and wrinkled. Popular store brand moisturizers available at drug stores have never given me the protection and beauty that they claimed.
When I started using natural moisturizing and conditioning products faithfully, I was amazed at the difference in my skin.
After I garden or go camping or do any outdoor activities, I use a deep pore cleanser, a natural alcohol free toner and a fruit based exfoliant to remove dead skin and detoxify any oily pores. Then I moisturize with a botanically based natural skin care cream.
Today people are suffering with all kinds of skin problems, from unexplainable skin rashes to adult acne, skin cancer, eczema and premature wrinkling. No wonder people don’t want to buy products containing perfumes, animal by-products and chemical ingredients. The trend today is towards natural skin care.
With a daily natural skin care routine, you can say goodbye to crow’s feet, laugh and lip lines. Even though I’m still as active as ever, I feel like a natural beauty.
To Reverse and Prevent wrinkles, here is my Moisturizing ‘DO NOT’ list:
1. Do not wash your face with regular soap. Soap strips your skin of its natural ‘acid-mantle’, an oil-rich protection that prevents skin from drying out while it locks moisture in.
2. Do not use alcohol-based astringents or wipes. Alcohol removes the skin’s ‘acid-mantle’ leaving skin dry and prone to irritation.
3. Do not expose your skin to excess sun and wind. Apply moisturizer to your face and neck before blow drying your hair.
4. Don’t drink too much alcohol or caffeinated tea and coffee. Caffeine promotes the loss of water from your body and your skin in particular.
Moisturizing ‘DO’ List:
1. Use a moisturizer specifically designed to last a long time. Moisturize one to three times a day with a moisturizer that does not clog pores.
2. If your home is very dry consider using a humidifier. Indoor heat promotes evaporation of moisture from the skin’s surface.
3. Drink lots of fluids to keep skin well-hydrated. Drinking 6-8 glasses of water each day is adequate preferably in the morning and afternoon and less in the evening. Large amounts of water taken in the evening may cause under eye puffiness and bags.
